Scott Galloway effectively is saying that our economy is consistently bailing out the old & rich, isolating young men, causing a mental health crisis, rewarding capital over labor. His suggestions to improve here in the image. Curious what folks on Farcaster think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEJ4hkpQW8E

Hard to disagree with most of this, but I don't see anything about zoning reform. Our current housing policies effectively give a massive subsidy to incumbent homeowners (i.e., boomers). We need to build massive amounts of dense housing in this country. Makes social, economic, and environmental sense.

Scott Galloway is part of the NY media scene which hates the tech industry. See also: NYT "hit pieces only" policy, etc. His ideas in the other three column seem OK, the tech ones are poison pills. "Identity verification" and "age gating" would be the end of the open web, and those are the nicer two.

I didn't like the guy but I like a lot of the ideas here except for "Identity verification" in tech.

Wouldn't removing 230 protection increase likelihood of entrenching big tech if they are the only algo content platforms that can deal with legal costs w/o that protection?

Seems well intended. Probably not realistic to make most of this federal policy in the US because of the state of our politics. I'm personally less convinced that social media/tech, as opposed to economics and advertising, is the main cause of mental health problens.
