ok i understand now and i have a response: i don't think you can decouple the two. at least not at the product layer. at the infra layer, it's disillusioned to think a good protocol + a good narrative would do anything shitty example: red bull is a media company that monetizes via energy drinks (two in one) a stand alone food engineering company + a stand alone extreme sport publication wouldn't work on the same magnitude but also now i have no idea how what android was saying relates

not sure i’m fully grasping your response. if i am tho, then i think we’re pretty aligned said another way, within your provided example, would say that right now crypto knows it needs to do both aspects of what red bull does but it struggles to justify funding for the media arm (just picking the most liberal one here) additionally, the talent in the space that would be best at meeting them half way on the media are unwilling to work for contract terms generally. and the ppl willing do take the contract don’t yet have the required skill

i don't think you can achieve anything by funding a media arm and a protocol separately need to fund product companies that can build+sell products and have narratives coinbase is a good example in the space red bull is an extreme example outside the space
