stop listening to users. observe them, instead. people either give answers they think are expected, cant accurately remember what they’ve done in the past, or under/overestimate what they’ll do in the future.

People may think that "observing" a user is a complex logistical task, BUT nowadays, many analytics products provide "replay session" capabilities (like Amplitude or Fullstory). It has been a huge help for the "observe" point you made
