Sitting here at my desk and I saw a work crew pull up to my yard. Went out to find out was going on. Apparently, I got a "long grass" ticket in May - when I was in the hospital with a broken leg - and because I didn't contest it, they're tearing my yard out. Flowers that were planted decades before I moved here. Raspberry bushes. Herbs and perennial edibles. All destroyed. I'm not having a good day, y'all. At all.

Hey did the workers get your poison ivy patch? I chucked depressedly at the potentially shitty later for them. Not in terms of -wanting- them to experience harm, as they are unlikely have had anything to do with the decision.

The poison ivy patch is mostly contained, but I couldn't prune it back this year, and it grew out of containment, and yep, they weed whacked that. Which is NOT good, but they wouldn't listen when I told them to take care in certain areas.
