Sitting here at my desk and I saw a work crew pull up to my yard. Went out to find out was going on. Apparently, I got a "long grass" ticket in May - when I was in the hospital with a broken leg - and because I didn't contest it, they're tearing my yard out. Flowers that were planted decades before I moved here. Raspberry bushes. Herbs and perennial edibles. All destroyed. I'm not having a good day, y'all. At all.

Fuck. This has been my nightmare for years. I am so sorry. How's your local Buy Nothing groups? Maybe people will be splitting plants in spring -of varieties you want- and share.
