Ethereum wallet developers! Please for the love of all that is holy stop truncating decimal digits when your users copy paste an amount to your interface. This happens way too often.

Honestly shouldn’t the commerce platform just have a setting to accept the payment if it’s off by a trivial amount?

This is the wallet's fault. Ethereum has 18 decimals. They can't just ignore an arbitrary amount of it. As for the e-commerce platform no. It should not. Giving less decimals sure may be easier on the user. But ultimately wallets should not manipulate input. Path of least surprise and all.

Ok, agreed it’s a bug in the wallets. But my point is that there are many wallets, whereas you have only one payments provider and they might actually be able to address the problem for you with a few lines of code.
