I find it insane that Telegram has become the de-facto messenger app for crypto people. Everyone connects there, and very important sensitive topics are discussed. Keep in mind: Telegram IS NOT end to end encrypted by default. Telegram employees can read what you are saying.

could not agree more the amount of people that think TG is E2EE is absolutely wild. I noticed that the “Secret Chats” feature recently vanished btw. not sure what to make of that

yeah it is. But keep in mind it won't appear on the desktop. And that makes sense. Since it's encrypted with your mobile device's key.

can I ask where you guys are seeing the Secret Chats option? I used to see it when I pressed the compose icon in the upper right (iOS) but now I only see "New Group", "New Contact", "New Channel" if I had to guess I think they're A/B testing removing it, to avoid the implication that other chats are not private
