I find it insane that Telegram has become the de-facto messenger app for crypto people.

Everyone connects there, and very important sensitive topics are discussed.

Keep in mind: Telegram IS NOT end to end encrypted by default.

Discord does not advertise itself as safe and it's for communities. Telegram claims to be a safe messenger and seasoned pros in the industry have sent me very sensitive information via TG.

They all somehow assume it's E2E encrypted.

I think if you use their secret chat it is e2e encryption. But you need to do it per chat.

So... is it fixed just by enabling the e2e encryption? or is it a fake encryption?

I noticed that the “Secret Chats” feature recently vanished btw. not sure what to make of that
