Is anyone finding X/Twitter less useful, less engaging and a very sad place lately? Either many people left or the algorithm got more aggressive in suppressing productive and nice posts. Or ... it's all in my head 😅

nah, I feel the same the platform degraded into a digital MMA cage for all kinds of crypto ecosystems which is also bearish for the state of crypto culture in general

Yes, I completely agree! I feel like I see way less technical content and discussions on there over the past several weeks.

Yeah my home feed has such a weird vibe but there are some news that I would miss otherwise. Also get to connect with some friends that are not active on here

Totally useless for me. I used it to find links about crypto things and then they devalued links (cuz people left Twitter to follow the link) and shadow banned a bunch of crypto people. Now when I post something I get just a couple likes and most of them are bots. My follower count is half what it was. I hate to say it, but I get most of my news from telegram. Some from here.

Unfortunately, it’s been like this for a while. And Bluesky is not much better either. Time to Make Farcaster Great Anew.

I use Twitter as a "LinkedIn for Crypto", if that makes any sense, but otherwise avoid it. And when there, I use the following feed only.

I think it's a combination of people we care about leaving and the algorithm struggling to keep up engagement increasingly aggressively. I definitely noticed that some people notice it's "useless and sad" much earlier than others, I think it depends on how early their respective social graph moved on elsewhere.

It seems to me that they changed the algorithms, and clearly not for the better

It remains a good way to reach users and stay up to date on product releases but the for you page is completely unusable and the quality of posts has degraded significantly Having an algorithm that optimizes for current events and spectacles necessarily compresses time and diminishes importance

For crypto, kinda, but I feel that it’s always has its ups and downs quality-wise. For general, fun commentary on news and pop-culture I still love it! Hilarious takes on there that are yet to be found here, but that’s more of a user population issue I guess.
