According to Boz, Meta is working on custom silicon. He also mentioned that this is going to be really important for AR. He pointed out that there is a huge gap between what can be done on the headset and on a standalone PC

Yeah Apple also has an OS while Meta is stuck on Android. Meta had 300 engineers working on a VR operating system for 3 years, project cancelled 🫤
