How did Robinhood get so big then?

Doing pretty well for bringing casino mechanics into tradfi investing

People are motivated by money and I'm assuming this motivation will become stronger as income inequality continues to grow

Robinhood got big because it brought stock trading to mobile and removed barriers like fees… not because it gamified investing. The casino vibes came later after they were already popular

Ex-VC. I like making bread (literally and figuratively) 

No fees and fractional shares were huge unlocks. What a fantastic way to build wealth when people were locked out before.

And then there is me who hasn’t used Robinhood at all
