Ethereum Account Abstraction

Passkeys enable super fast, easy wallet creation but is that really the holy grail? A wallet should serve as a secure, reliable, and accessible identity.

It's led me to think more about something I'm calling "account durability"

[1/2] Time is a proxy but IMO slightly different bc interaction cost also considers cognitive load. e.g. username + password manager is very quick when it works, but can involve more moving parts than pure passkey

[2/2] Security only matters when user's account is valuable. For account to be valuable, user needs to easily create it but also easily access it in perpetuity (accrue value)

I'm making the case that security + usability = durability. Stacking auth methods over time maximizes durability.

could interaction cost be reduced to simply just “time”?

brittle and durable. is this security? what is user goal in choosing or doing brittle / durable? that may trigger another way to see this spectrum. even burnable addresses to super cold vault may apply here.
