Been playing with Solana a lot more lately, but price quotes are sluggish, 50% of my trades fail, trades take ~15 seconds to complete, and I have to break my trades up into much smaller increments to get them through. Any tips on how to get a better experience here? Moved my slippage up to 1% and that helped.

The answer seems to be much higher slippage. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of low gas fees? In fact you in up paying a lot more in slippage than if gas was $0.10.

My experience is solana is best performance when market boring, when peak or crash it unreliable. Easy to loose a lot money when stuck in positions so cautious is key.

Use Jupiter dex instead of raydium... raydium is slow and many failed transactions

.5-1% is desired slippage in bear market, similar to bull market eth gas prices you'll be better off increasing slippage to 10-15% for shitters but even 1-5% is fine for tokens with enough liq like wif, boden, etc. Also heavily depends on the interface you're using compared to bots imo!

sounds like your playing with shitters, i always use a telegram bot to trade them. Any will do you well and they are much faster you will need higher slippage when things get congested though

Use photon,bonkbot,etc bots and if you wanna buy early make slippage 15-30% If you wanna snipe you should buy private nodes cost ~ 3000$ Recommend wingnode

Just be patient. Also try switching where you’re trading. I’ve had different experiences with different tokens using Phantom, SolFlare, Jupiter, Fluxbeam and Birdeye. Different exchanges get clogged at different times.

Slippage is probably too low and try upping your tip. Was using .01 back in January but during busy times probably quite a bit more needed

I also say photon is the easiest. I switched from Bonkbot. With photon you can have your trade opened on one window and still see the groups Telegram on another. Unlike Bonkbot which forces you to keep the bot tg open to see your trade. Gamble safely tho.
