I use my pile of money to keep myself out of prison. Billy-bob is in a bit of trouble and asks if he can also use my money to stay out of prison. I give billy-bob my money for his bail in exchange for favours after prison, we measure how fucked he is with points.

I wrote this article last summer about that https://www.eigenhub.org/blog/blog-post-one-lgzdm its a new era in Eth. 1st Eth introduced smart contracts, then we got the modular/L2 era that we're leaving. Looking back we'll see EL as a whole new era. Like uniswap wasnt just a swap protocol but heralded the dawn of defi.
