Good question - it depends on the NFT. If you want to make it a globally accessible, tradeable collectible, then yes. But a lot of NFTs don't need that and are only relevant within their specific communities or applications - so those don't.

That's interesting since not many in crypto discuss it. Seems the community expects all NFTs to need strict global consensus by default. When saying not all NFTs need strict global consensus, are you referring to NFT ticketing, membership NFTs and some utility NFTs of certain platforms?
