I like the way I feel after reading a novel. My inner dialogue is observant and clear. It has words for things and processes things one after the other. Stark contrast to when I’m terminally online. I feel comparably distracted, absent, nonlinear and reactive.

Agreed. And I like the way I feel during reading a novel (or other book). After being terminally online, I feel like a zombie.
