What is your favorite VPN for traveling to be more secure on public wifi? I'm wondering if I should commit to one with a year subscription or just try out one this month. Traveling on Friday morning. I normally don't do banking or crypto transactions when I travel AT ALL. But would this help it be secure?

I found this. Do any of you use any of these? I already have a Proton account. Wonder if I should just go with that one? https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and-software/best-vpn-for-travel/

A VPN would def help doing those securely. Have to be concerned with the vendor and dropped connections (good VPN providers will have a “kill switch” mode to make sure you don’t do anything without being connected to the VPN). I recommend Proton VPN or Mullvad VPN (though I stopped using the latter recently).

I use Surfshark because you can get the first year free, and also because it allows you to stream other countries streaming services
