yeah that checks out -- interesting how this also overflows to quickly to places like sweden, altho i will say my experience as eternally online and a random swedish guy differs a bit. the media narrative is still "tech bad-ish/scary??" tho

yes the crypto / ai comparison is very clear, its what prompted this poll how come "progressives" are such luddites when it comes to tech? was it always like that? i dont think so? not what i can remember at least its not just crypto and ai, you see a similar patter for space, genetics etc. and ofc startups/yc/sf is a common target too
