I remember the consensus at Nouns for a long time has been that it is "ETH rich but ideas constrained". This probably still holds true considering Nouns has a permissionless / incentivised way of raising ETH but not for ideas per se What would a proposal / idea flywheel at Nouns look like? I imagine a big part of it will be rewarding the support of ideas, which can take many shapes Eg, something we're going to try at Wave is to reward people for minting ideas that passed as proposals Curious what else can be done

For example @peterpandam's efforts here should be rewarded in some shape or form https://warpcast.com/launders/0x6ab91b7a

Yes correct. Probably the biggest hurdle to solve for wave to be useful. Right now wave is idea constrained. One benefit is that you can guarantee your idea will be put on chain. But I don’t think it’s a 10x necessarily unless someone is having a really hard time getting their candidate promoted. Any ideas on incentives folks to post ideas? Example could be financial incentive like Adel suggests. “Finders fee” for idea makes some sense too possibly.

the remaining caveat would be incentivising the submission of ideas to begin with. One way we could tackle that—welcome ideas from people without the pressure of executing them we could try this with Rounds, I imagine for each proposer there are probably 10 people with an idea but no interest or ability to execute, however they could be rewarded for seeding the community with an idea

Yeah Wave doesn't solve for it entirely but would def be a big step in the right direction. For example by giving all Nouns fans the ability to promote ideas onchain (and not just Noun token holders) means with the right incentives, Nouns can sustain a whole new layer of contributors that source ideas
