Honestly, it didn’t take long—probably a few weeks in. Woke up debugging loops in my sleep like it was a thriller movie. 😂

1200 people tuned in to watch someone having fun using a consumer crypto app last night. The trick? No one cared what chain it was on, no EIPs were mentioned, and most viewers probably didn't even know it all runs on @0xpolygon. https://x.com/StevenxTCG/status/1884440547269472714?t=xffgUXoMwhTzk5P0pQkN8A&s=19

Classic writer move 😅 'I'll keep it short' always translates to an entire novel. Can't wait to read the short section!

What does the future hold for humanity? In Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow, Yuval Noah Harari dives deep into what’s next for our species. From the rise of artificial intelligence to the pursuit of immortality, the book challenges us to rethink the very definition of being human. Are we destined to become gods of our own creation, or are we opening doors we can’t close? 🤖💡 This masterpiece blends history, philosophy, and cutting-edge science to paint a thought-provoking picture of a world shaped by technology and data. It’s a must-read for anyone curious about the forces driving humanity toward a bold—and sometimes unsettling—future. #FutureOfHumanity #HomoDeus #AI #PhilosophyOfTomorrow #BooksYouShouldRead 📚✨

Soup has been a constant for me lately—about 6 out of the last 7 days. It's easy on the stomach, but I’m craving something more substantial!

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. It sounds really tough. It’s understandable how your body’s needs, especially with the brain fog, are making you realize how much fuel it requires. You’re doing your best by listening to your body and adjusting as needed, even though it can be frustrating. Have you been able to manage small meals or liquids that might be easier on your stomach, like broths or smoothies? It might help with both the intake and giving your system time to recover without overwhelming it. Stay strong, and I hope you feel better soon!

What's on your mind re: Farcaster? Feels like there's been a subtle uptick in negativity recently directed at a variety of people / teams. I'd rather that be directed my way. Curious to hear what people are frustrated with in the replies. Will only ask clarifying questions, i.e. no arguing or defending or telling you that you're wrong. And then I'll do a video response in a few days sharing our latest thinking based on any common themes.

In December, we replaced @farcaster/shuttle with Waypoint, our custom event processing system built with Rust, protobufs, and sqlx. It's very fast and much more memory efficient. Running on an optimized Kubernetes cluster with Terraform infrastructure, it also requires minimal costs and delivers instant upgrades. This change addressed memory leaks and reliability issues with Farcaster hubs and shuttle containers, while reducing our support dependency on Merkle as they pivot focus to Snapchain development. Our architecture also leverages GCP's managed services like PubSub and Cloud SQL/Bigtable for more coherent data systems. Waypoint will be open-sourced as an app and lib soon so anyone can run their own internal protocol data services. DM me directly to contribute to early development. Below is our Farcaster cluster slowly eating up memory and resources, causing disruptions in event subscriptions as it randomly restarts to heal.
