re spam discussions, i’d like to share my exp as a “new user”.
- i was blind sided being labeled spam. *if* merkle want to have new users essentially prove they’re not bots by casting “thoughtful replies” in initial casts, it should be more transparent in onboarding. increased friction but better ux/retention
- also the wc exp is like twitter. short form, off the top stuff w deeper thoughts sprinkled. shitposts, memes, etc are common (and fun). another reason for transparency described^
- i’m hopeful that with channel changes, wc will empower the communities more
- re communities, changes made to wc in my short time here seem more successful when prioritizing community. removal of autofollow, boosts are stale (ironic that boosted posts feel the most spammy on my feed)
