Introducing new Mini App URLs Previously when copying the link to a mini app, they would look something like this: /~/min-apps/launch?domain=framedl.xyz Now they will look like this: /miniapps/8IsRgNO4ssVz/framedl The new structure will make the URLs more readably and SEO friendly. By using an ID it also allows for rebranding without breaking links. We also added a way to copy your mini app's link from the developer tools. The /~/mini-apps/launch and /~/frames/launch URLs still work.

cool!! might be an early question but is there going to be a way for developers to query mini app info by this new id(eg. take that new link structure and get the mini app url back)?

Good question. I don't know whether we have any existing public APIs to get mini app data. It'd make sense to have that so devs can have a way to get their mini app IDs and get mini app data by id.

My specific case is an app store that opens other mini apps. I would need the id to do so, and it would be great to not need a WC api to get that Thinking about it more, i dont think it would need to be signed, but i am not sure

@gabrielayuso.eth another idea is to allow the developer to generate the id, and have wc and others use it as long as it is unique and passes whatever format constraints you guys use. Kinda similar to how blockchains set their own chainid and wallets just use em

I see. I have a strong opinion against using farcaster.json for well anything so the idea of shoving more it it makes my stomach turn. Me thinks this should be onHub, attested to or use a domain verification by the App's FID. Extended profile metadata would solve this & open up a shit ton of new use cases.
