Ethereum

It was on this day, 8 years ago that I was woken up by @thegrifft's call telling me that our creation, the DAO, was being drained.

That started the most stressful summer of my life, with hacking, forking, counter-hacking.

For better or for worse that summer changed ethereum forever.

Ya'll handled it like absolute champs. 

Christoph had a talk at Devcon II. I remember thinking, wow, this guy has balls getting up here after getting hacked $150m. The pressure! He handled it with such grace and humility. It was a beautiful public apology 🥲

yeah i also had a talk in devcon 2 (actually had one in every devcon!)

But christoph's talk and its reaction (he got a standing ovation) was moving.

It's what made me stay in Ethereum. After that summer I was thinking of just quitting.
