Idk the tokenomics. A big advantage of offchain = activity happens on Base (good thing). I compare with lens. I dont like appchains for that reason and i don't see the point of having one here other than to launch a token. Dan has been pretty outspoken against a token so i assume this is coming from their investors

In general, I'm all for improving the scalability of hubs, and the part that feels most exciting about this is a bridge between onchain and Farcaster data. For instance, we haven't had FID-linked mints and such. I'm hoping this is a step toward that.

one of the key value props here is that the chain isn't turing complete. you can't run arbitrary programs on it, so AFAIU it's not competing with Base, it's competing with and replacing hubs.
