I really appreciate ambition. 

I think it's important for some people to be ambitious since it is often a prerequisite to doing something great.

But there is this weird perversion with ambition that portrays it as some kind of moral good. It's not -- if anything, it's totally orthogonal.

Agree that people can be ambitious for nefarious reasons. Ambition is essentially the catalyst of intrinsic human behavior, and without ambition people still retain the same desires regardless if they have it.
