Twitter is visibly losing the war with spammers and scammers. Replies are a disaster. Real post with 3k likes immediately gets ratiod by scam impersonators with 20k. Gold-check "verified organization" for the scammer. Great opportunity for a certain purple protocol!

This is fate of every social tbh. I have no trust that FC will be any different once it hits the same level of DAUs, especially with the financial incentives available.

FC has structural advantages. - Open protocol > more people can ship - Much less technical debt > can ship faster - "Pay 100 warps to post in this channel", nonrefundable when kicked for spam - Crypto-native initial audience > can experiment with other forms of onchain reputation, slashing, etc

I disagree. Email clients have to deal with plenty of spam on SMTP, but have mostly succeeded in filtering it out. This is the benefit of letting many teams develop decentralized filters against low quality messages, rather than relying on a single frontend.
