Meet Rebekah, a registered nurse from Denver, Colorado, who has been volunteering as a combat medic on the frontlines in Ukraine since 2022 ⛑️
She is currently not only evacuating the wounded from the 'hell on earth' areas of the frontline but also training Ukrainian medics. She’s one of the medics I deliver supplies to, and I was honored to finally meet her in person and spend some time with her before she left for another evacuation.
I know that for many people, war is faceless—just numbers and terms like 'military,' 'medics,' 'casualties.' But I hope to share the stories of the humans who are there, risking their lives every day to save others. People like Rebekah, who aren’t even from Ukraine but are here to help, make me cry every single time because I am so grateful 🫂 and I’m committed to helping with any supplies they need to continue their work. 9 replies
