NGL i have this loop with indexers where im like

"this is so cool omg"

then 

"wow this is so difficult/expensive" etc

then I learn something new then im like 

"this is so cool omg"

and the cycle repeats

i think indexers are the first step in any kind of innovative software, you need to collect data before you can do anything with it

Doing the indexing is easy, making it consistently useful and highly performant is very hard.
