what made working on the original coven collection so exciting for me was building out a world for the witches to live in. beginning with the WITCH descriptions, where does their power come from? where do they live? how do they use magic to manipulate the world around them?

enter Fig!! ✨️ in the fall of 2022 I began mapping the story of a disgraced occultist and her two daughters – one hidden, the other set on killing her. the first scene was a meeting between a nameless girl and the enchantress who would shatter her life.

I knew when I began writing that a novel was not the ideal momentum-building quick follow-up to our last project. but that's never been our priority. it is, instead, a lovingly crafted dive into the world we've built. I really hope you'll come be a part of it ✨️
