what made working on the original coven collection so exciting for me was building out a world for the witches to live in. beginning with the WITCH descriptions, where does their power come from? where do they live? how do they use magic to manipulate the world around them?

enter Fig!! ✨️ in the fall of 2022 I began mapping the story of a disgraced occultist and her two daughters – one hidden, the other set on killing her. the first scene was a meeting between a nameless girl and the enchantress who would shatter her life.

the production schedule of a huge undertaking like the NH meant I finished my part (writing the stories) long before launch. I found myself itching to dig into something deeper, to spend more than a few pages in these wilds, with these witches.
