Vida is popular but I like it. Ilegal is a bit less popular but I like it a bit more. My mezcal tip is not a brand but a cocktail — the mezcal negroni! (2 parts mezcal, 1 part campari, a little less than that vermouth)

These were my two favorite so far. I discovered Cupreata (the Rayo Seco on the left) in todos santos. Funnily enough it’s not even from Oaxaca, so they call it vino de maguey instead of mezcal. https://i.imgur.com/MYgpsrD.jpg
