Furiosa was better than I expected. Not Fury Road but still ambitious.

Miller has a unique ability to flow between grotesque, heart-wrenching, slapstick, gory, funny, sweet... maximalist spectacle.

Sadly the CGI and makeup did veer into The Hobbit-level campiness at times.

That one shot in Fury Road when a big scene is capped off by a CGI steering wheel flying at the screen (the only element that *looks* like CGI) annoys me so much — my only cope is to recall the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi...

I saw it in IMAX yesterday, and it was espectacular!!!

Darn that's too bad. One of the awesome things about fury road was all of the practical effects.
