I actually think Lavine has never been more valuable in the eyes of the league. The return would've been far worse in the past. Injury prone, no defence, onerous contract. Agree with you about the Bulls FO, but instead for thinking Lavine was going to be the best player on a championship team and giving him a huge contract.

Despite all his weakness, he is a walking bucket and improved significantly this season in terms of decision making. Just being disappointed in terms of the future picks that the bulls got for him, if a bum like Mikal Bridges can fetch 5-6 future picks I believe Lavine should fetch at least 3 future picks. In conclusion, AKME are bad negotiators 🥲

It'll be hard to justify paying Ingram $50 mil per season. Seems like a competition between RJ Barrett and Ingram for an extension. AK says the Bulls are tired of being in the middle. 🤣 Hard to believe they couldn't find a trade for Vooch. I doubt he'll be as valuable in the summer as he is right now.

If player like patrick williams get paid ~15mil per season, Ingram or RJ getting around ~50mil is kinda justifiable. The nba player standard is kinda low nowadays 😅 If I am not mistaken AK said he believe the team can push for play-in, the team is forever stuck in mediocrity limbo

Masai Ujiri once said, "Play in for what?" 🤣 Problem with Ingram is injuries. Can't trust that he'll be on the floor when it matters. He also doesn't really play defence. It was also interesting to see the Pacers pay the Raptors to take James Wiseman. Haha. Who gets Lavine's shots in Chicago now?

From the bull's ownership: play in to sell out tickets, that the annual KPI 😂 Agree with Ingram, he is too soft and a mid star not superstar level. I like the Wiseman pickup, bring in a lottery pick on his lowest value. Low risk high rewards play. I believe it would be Coby taking those volume like when Lavine & Demar got injured last season. I am actually more excited to see Matas development for the remaining of this season. Dude can ball

Reinsdorf is the prime example. They got lucky with MJ and never wanted to go into luxury tax. Yeap, let the young core take over the team but in bulls case they are doing it not 100% with Vooch still in team after trade deadline. For Toronto, the team with Barnes, Quickley and Ingram is way too talented to not making play-in. I hope Flagg can somehow landed on Chicago, that the only way tht poverty franchise can be saved 🥲

It's been a while since you had a top pick. Derrick Rose, if memory serves. The league is better when Chicago is relevant. You're right, the Raptors as constructed are too good to not be in the play-in. Worst case scenario is they finish a game or two back of 10th and miss the good lottery odds.

Patrick Williams? OG was projected as the next Kawhi as well. I think Masai waited a year too long to tear it down, but at least he tore it down. The reason I want the Raps to make the play-in this year is so we can see if Scottie is "that guy" in pressure situations.
