What's a novelist who can't visualize to do?

I now want to run a study of all fiction authors to get an understanding of their level of visualization. Directors as well.

Great tips! May do a prompt in the channel asking people to set the scene with just a focus on sound or emotion or smell.

Use the other senses
If you can't "see" a scene in your head well you can try to feel or listen or associate with emotion. And try writing exercises that key into those things — brainstorm ideas for them w/ChatGPT :)
