I think Solana’s biggest damage on Ethereum is psychological. By normalizing degeneracy, financial nihilism, and eschewing free open standards (i.e. ERC) in favor of proprietary ones (i.e. Metaplex), it makes Ethereum builders feel like there’s no point to it at all.

I came into crypto after that, never used those, and ETH has actually been better morally after their days.

it's still a chain where VCs endlessly dump useless "governance tokens" on retail while gaslighting them that they actually matter

there's still plenty of degeneracy on ETH, it's just masked with an air of *research* to make it look more legitimate
