the payment use case is extremely overhyped in crypto most consumers prefer centralized payment options and the benefits of centralization (fraud protection, security, etc) will probably always outweigh anything decentralized options bring to the table we have to find use cases where decentralization is actually an advantage

P2P payments among literally anyone in LATAM, EMEA, MENA, SEA have been already capitalized on several working wallets such as Clave. People rather do not care about paying in crypto for coffee etc. they want to be able to pay one another in stables even though it means swimming in alegal waters—sometimes in some locations anything crypto is legal except peer payments for services for ex. North American and EU users are not aware but we are just not having access to things like Gnosis Pay, or any other CEX equivalent of such services. I'd love to be using a physical debit card with both custodial and noncustodial options—I'd trust CB if they were operating here.

I agree, but what crypto does is gives new players the chance to bundle services like fraud protection, chargebacks, etc into payments. Otherwise you would be stuck using the incumbents Ie. it's not about decentralization, it's about unbundling

Payments in crypto are extremely underhyped Most consumers globally have literally no access to the majority of centralized payment options and crypto provides access in a pretty huge way - it's literally a lifesaver

I think for people under 30, paying friends in crypto is actually a good way to increase adoption. Part of the reason I like crypto is because Wells Fargo has fucked me over so many times.

I beg to differ slightly To deposit crypto in wallet address,we make use of a mutual network between the two parties and the network are chosen amongst alternatives, sounds decentralized to me If it was centralized,i don’t think we should have to bother about which network the deposit will be sent or received,it should be a generally accepted one, I don’t have a vast knowledge but that’s my opinion
