i’ve been through the roller coster, here’s my verdict: community matters most, unfortunately online communities are feeble - it’s cheap, easy to get in, easy to discard but it’s the most promising aspect as oppose to “constant supply of high signal”, and “constant supply of funny troll shitcast”. “meet ups” are strong but lack access to many, it’s local so I wouldn’t consider it significant in bettering warpcast/farcaster unless done in scale (like a huge concert).
tried smortposting, tried shitposting, tried complaining, tried lil psyops, seen financial incentives injected in, i’ve seen low engagement, i’ve seen medium engagement, seen high engagement with bots, seen bots spam - barely added significantly to better warpcast/farcaster
so what could really make warpcast/farcaster better? up to us individually i guess, some people are just not built for this, that includes me.
