Yes! The first time I ever had this sensation was in Lake County, CO. It felt odd at the time, but it makes sense for me now.

This resonates. I felt the same thing when I would spend time in small mountain towns in Colorado. Wasn’t in a position to settle down there and call it “home” proper. Not sure if I ever will but my heart always feels at peace in the mountains.
