i played fb in college

i saw kids from rough backgrounds who had a scholarship but no income (which was more or less forbidden) get in trouble for selling their textbooks to send money back home to their baby mama or pay for parking tickets

all while the head coach made 5m a year, the university sold 100k tickets every weekend for $100 a pop, and the scholarship go to waste since you’re expected to complete the course work while spending 60 hours a week playing ball

I don’t think income by itself is bad but it’s crazy to me that we can’t find a middle ground between what you outline here and Larry Ellison + Dave Portnoy being able to stack their fave teams bc $$$$$$$$

At this point I think all college ball should be abolished and we can just have NFL with a formal minor league

how about uncapped but 50% goes to the player and 50% goes to everyone else on the squad 

i want these guys to get every dollar they can
