My personal horror story here is Arc

I begged and begged and begged for access to Arc browser and then by the time I got in all my enthusiasm was gone

Used it 1x and ✌️

This makes sense to me

I differentiate between a private beta and a big splashy “we’re live, just not for YOU 🫵”

I followed up with a reply here about Arc browser — that was the 1st time I really got burned 

And there are always exceptions as well — Clubhouse comes to mind 

The exclusivity improved the conversations—the user experience

well there are instances where it’s still very much in the ‘being built’ phase and needs a small group of users (looks in coinbasewallet’s direction)

but i agree that waitlists for apps in the app store should be left in the past ☻
