Never really thought of John as a tech bro as much as a management consultant. Super nice family for whatever that’s worth. JMac has known them for years. Fashion had been the F word at Nike from day 1 except during Mindy Grossman’s time (2000-06 coincidently when they were my largest client). Remember Nike women & Goddess stores? Phil brought her in from Ralph Lauren then he left in 04 after his son died. Much of her progress was rolled back when she left. Sad. I haven’t followed the company closely for a long time. What do you think the strategy is lacking?

Honestly don’t know too much about it — maybe evidenced by my tech bro comment. This pod says John worked at Oracle etc before Seems pretty simple….. guy neglected the product. Nike stopped innovating and investing in what ppl actually…. buy from them No point in having dope ecomm tech or fancy marketing if product sucks lol They used to be the leader. First brand ever to release a carbon plate running shoe
