Successful populist leaders are almost always elites? Populism is not a bottoms up phenomenon. It's a elite strategy to sway the mob.

It was a masochistic listen first and foremost because you didn't pull any new insight out of Sacks. And while I try not to overindex on the person, i think it is relevant here because Sacks speaks of "elites" like he is not one of them. It's unclear to me the incentive for him to align w/us poors
