I dislike Texas so much it’s now ruining my ability to leave. I get off the plane and immediately feel dread about going back. I am on a beautiful trip with my family and have had a pit in my stomach the whole time thinking about how I have to go back there and sit alone in air conditioning

What is it about texas you dislike so much? I visited Austin and thought it much more livable than I expected.

You know, it’s lonely. It has been harder for me to make friends there than anywhere else. But this is fixable. What I need I am realizing is the ability to just go for a little walk. In Texas I feel like, as this tweet references, I cannot just be https://x.com/dylanoa4/status/1826936307789992048

i feel you, walks keeps one sane. Is it a suburban sprawl w no green/parks type of situation?

There is a gorgeous trail by me but safety and heat concerns. The greenbelts and parks are home to large camps. It’s not every trip, but enough trips that now I am wary of all trips. If I was committed to staying I would get a dog.
