I do full arm extension planks personally, but that 2-3min range is a great target to set. Its daunting at first but even practicing 1x per day will get you to 2 minutes relatively quickly. Physical strength plays a part but I've found mind over matter matters just as much!

Even better: weighted cable crunch. One set of these will grow your abs more due to the added load. A lot of people think abs is limited to body weight: using weights is a MAJOR cheat code
