Getting annoyed at other people's entitlements has caused me to reflect on my own entitlements. You are not entitled to a single thing in this life. Not health nor wealth nor happiness. I think a lot of unhappiness is downstream of the mistaken belief that you deserve something you aren't getting

I don’t see people feeling entitled to health, wealth and happiness. I think Americans are rightly upset because healthcare, housing, even groceries, and the things that contribute to wellbeing (dare I say happiness) are becoming more and more inaccessible

I didn't intend this politically. Healthcare is my area of interest and the one I can speak to most confidently. The system needs reform, but we disservice ourselves by thinking of healthcare as a right OR a privilege. There will always, always be someone getting the short end of the stick when it comes to allocating this scarce resource. It is about the tradeoffs we are willing to accept.

Admittedly, I see almost everything through a political lens because political policies affect a lot of how we feel about health wealth and happiness. I guess I fundamentally don’t understand the entitlement you’re speaking of. I’ve never heard anyone express entitlement to these specific things rather than the things that could inch them closer to them Do you mean psychologically? Like a sick person having a moment of self pity?
