I have friends and family ask me all the time and I start off with the fact that it is a scam and takes a couple fuckups to be able to sus things out

I think the problem is that due to the ease and velocity of setting up a crypto scam, it attracts a disproportionately large percentage of scammy builders in our space.

The second problem is that these scammy builders are rarely caught and many are highly successful and even celebrated.

Scams happen in all forms of human interaction: Phone, text, email, social media, FinTech, with regular mail probably being the worst, and it isn't even technology.
