Think about who is driving this conversation. By and large it is not organic user feedback as it is employees The Lens marketing team is manufacturing this perceptual divide in an attempt to win net new users; punching up at the more successful service. I don’t believe it is a reflection of the reality today, but them trying to shape the future

Honest experience. Spent a lot of time onboarding artists to FC. My favorites all left and are on lens I’ve known a lot of those commenters for years

I had Lens first, by a long shot, but it has always been dead in there. Why do you think they prefer Lens? And would they go so far as the Lens team does, to say Farcaster is bad? Or was it just easier to find friends etc I had baked in friends when I came here bc I onboarded w/work

Maria’s thread says it all to me. Artists can deal with the challenges using the new technology anywhere. There is a vibe that lens actually cares and appreciates what artists bring to the platform. So they are more willing to work through the challenges Here it feels like an uphill challenge. I remember specifically Dan asking people for feedback on X. He got a lot of artist feedback. Then he came back to WC with some kind of snarky post. I think builders underestimate regular peoples’ capacity to understand the challenges of building a new social network. They just want to feel heard and valued. I’m actually feeling embarrassed I spent so much time selling WC to artists.
