it's almost like there are natural forces at play undermining the wealthy which can help curb inequality without the need for government regulation (which paradoxically helps entrench wealth since it becomes captured by the people it's supposed to regulate)

No. As the book demonstrates they make new stories for themselves that justifies an ever increasing hoard. Your reg capture argument is special nonsense. Juries can be biased. Does that mean we shouldn’t have trials? Equivalent logic there

juries have an expiration date bureaucracies do not I'm not saying all human organizations are corrupt, I'm saying that, given enough time, they will inevitably become corrupt (if they have any sort of power worth capturing)
