I’m not saying to employ non technical employees as devs — but they should know how everything works and be able to build things. No, not let Cursor lead you blindly but understand what is going on in the code, too. Everything is eminently learnable if you can read instructions. All of it.

What constitutes a "tech employee"? Does it include, for example, HR people at a fintech company?

I’m an IT admin so quite technical, and I have tried to learn to code so many times. I get a couple lessons in, things are going well, and then I always hit a wall where I think the grammar is correct but nothing works and there’s no explanation why. I can kinda read code, but never write it.
