Apparently the drug mix in ATX is shifting away from meth and towards fentanyl

• Fentanyl deaths in Austin are up 136% (!!)
• Reported drug crimes are up 50%

Knowing that the data on the end result is readily available—and yet the policies continue—it causes one to wonder if the harm is the intended result.

For the longest meth has been the biggest drug we would see on the streets.

Thats slowly changing as fentanyl is taking over.

Get ready, there will be zombies walking the street. Look at SF or Portland.

Where don’t I 😂 

Needles in the park outside my old office Bond Collective 

New office apt next to St Edwards has had 2 attempted break ins. Both next door neighbors there have had break ins too. One of them had the garage door opener stole out of their car 

Saw someone die on the street by Austin Convention Center 

Was menaced on my bike twice in 2 weeks on s Congress and Oltorf 

Had to run to safety walking home from book club east side to downtown 

The people shooting bullets out their car at random were in Seaholm where I go grocery shopping 

So where am I supposed to go? Domain?

Where do you feel unsafe? 
I’ve lived downtown next to whole foods and now Hyde Park and I’ve never felt really unsafe anywhere. And I take the bus to commute.
Yes there are druggies but usually they keep to themselves.
